  • Is BYO food or alcohol allowed on site?
    You're welcome to bring your own food & alocholic beverages on to site. We just request you drink responsibily and maintain family-friendly behaviour.
  • Who is Southern Stars Summer Festival 2022 intended for?
    Southern Stars Summer Festival is a brand new event produced by Southern Stars Charitable Trust. This one day event is held at Kumeu Showgrounds, with the intention of providing outdoor, family-friendly entertainment for not only the Southern Stars Charitable community, but the wider Auckland whanau. General Admission Tickets to our event are purchasable through iTicket. Donated tickets for members of charitable organisations can be reserved through iTicket using the promo code provided by us to your organisation's administration team. If you are a charitable organisation who think your members would benefit from donated tickets to this event, please get in contact with us at info@southernstarssummerfestival.co.nz

    Donated tickets for members of charitable organisations can be reserved through iTicket using the promo code provided by us to your organisation's administration team.   • What facilities will be available on site?
    Free water Toilets, including accessible toilets Fairly priced food stalls Parking Shaded areas in front of both stages Emergency services on site
  • Are dogs allowed on site?
    Unfortunately dogs will need to stay at home as we have our beautiful Kumeu Showgrounds sheep on site.
  • Who is Southern Stars Charitable Trust?
    Southern Stars is a Charitable Trust dedicated to providing a better life for special needs and less fortunate children in New Zealand. Four times a year, Southern Stars Charitable Trust organises professionally run pantomimes as well as several other events to give special needs and disadvantaged children an opportunity to be kids. For each pantomime, 9,000 tickets are sent out to local charities and schools. Annually, over 36,000 tickets were distributed. In addition to sponsoring special-needs and disadvantaged children to our shows, each pantomime campaign raises awareness and funds for our charity partners. Some of the charities that have partnered with our pantomimes have included: Autism New Zealand, Radio Lollipop, Koru Care NZ, Burn Support Group Trust, Downtown Rotary, and Kidney Kids.
  • Will parking be available?
    Ample amounts of parking next to the entrance to the event will be available. Event volunteers will help navigate you to the closest available parking spot, and through our main gates. Accessibility parking will be allocated to the closet available parking spots adjacent to the main entrance. Refer to our Festival Map for more details!
  • What should I bring along?
    Southern Stars Summer Festival is an outdoor event, with one main music stage, and a secondary kids entertainment stage. Most of our event will be uncovered, allowing us to enjoy the summer sun on the beautiful Kumeu Showgrounds. Shaded areas will be provided near these stages, however, we recommend bringing a few things to help you set up an relax; Picnic Blanket Umbrella Suncreen Food & Beverages No dogs allowed to keep our neighbouring sheep safe & happy
